⚔️ Raids
Shadow Claydol is a Ground and Psychic-type Pokémon and the evolution of Baltoy. It is primarily defense-oriented, with a relatively low attack stat and maximum CP. As such, Shadow Claydol does not make for a good raid attacker.
PvP Analysis
🔵 Great League
Claydol is actually a really good Pokémon for the Great League. However, you actually want regular Claydol for the Great League, not the shadow variant. After all, Claydol’s biggest asset is that it is very defensive. So the shadow bonus of increased attack, decreased defense does not benefit Claydol at all.
Though Shadow Claydol is still good enough to be used as a spice pick or for more limited metas.
🟡 Ultra League
With a max CP of 2229, Shadow Claydol would have to do something very unique to perform in the Ultra League, and unfortunately, it does not.
🟣 Master League
With a max CP of 2229, Shadow Claydol is far too weak for the legendary-dominated Master League.
