Dazzling Gleam
Fairy types are desired in Pokémon GO for their ability to resist and take out Dragon and Fighting raids, and Mega Gardevoir is one of the best in that regard.
This graceful Pokémon is destined to be the top Fairy Pokémon but with that being laid across, there are some points to be considered when countering Dragons, arguably its best use.
The presence of insane damage dealers like Mega Rayquaza, Eternatus, Mega Garchomp, Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and popular Shadow Pokémon like Shadow Salamence often gives Mega Gardevoir a secondary slot in your raid counters. Thankfully, Mega Gardevoir also has an Ice type Charged Move (Triple Axel) to make up for damage against Dragons double weak to Ice.
Then, Mega Rayquaza also steals the thunder against Fighting types with Dragon Ascent and Mewtwo also takes the spotlight.
In all cases, Mega Gardevoir gets overshadowed by some of the best Pokémon out there. This doesn't mean that Mega Gardevoir is disappointing in any way. It can shrug off Dragon and Fighting moves, stay for a good amount of time and boost the damage of Fairy attacks, all in unison!
As a Psychic type, it's quite good but again, you'll find way better choices against the types Psychic is super-effective against, be it the Mewtwo varieties, Mega Rayquaza, or Primal Groudon.
📈 Should you max out Mega Gardevoir?
Regardless of better picks on the clothesline, Fairy types remain dominant on the raid space and if you have a Hundo/Shundo Mega Gardevoir, do feel free to max it out to get yourself a premium Dragon and Fighting killer.
But this investment needn't be compulsive. In other words, you ideally don't need to use a Bottle Cap on Mega Gardevoir if you're looking for a formidable meta Pokémon. If you love Mega Gardevoir, certainly go for it though!
PvP Analysis
Mega Evolutions are typically not allowed in the GO Battle League, but in limited formats like the Mega Master League, Mega Gardevoir is the best Fairy type, dominating a large portion of the meta with its high-damage moves and the guaranteed ATK buff from Triple Axel. 💪
