Psychic
Mega Latias may offensively not match the bar set by heavy-hitters from the highly competitive Dragon and Psychic types, but it still has a solid offensive presence in its own right. More importantly, it pairs that offense with exceptional bulk, making it one of the best Mega Evolutions to keep the Mega Boost afloat for a longer time in Raid Battles.
Most bulk-oriented Mega Evolutions don't have a high attacking power to back them up but Mega Latias is a class apart. It tanks hits, boosts the power of Dragon and Psychic moves, and can do quite a number on its own accord.
🐲 Dragon type
Mega Latias doesn't hold a candle to the immense firepower of its fellow Dragon Pokémon (including Mega Latios) but in tough Raids where doing high damage from multiple teammates is key to winning the Raid with less effort, Mega Latias is instrumental in getting the job done. Its damage output isn't too shabby either, hovering somewhere around the level of Dialga and a little behind Outrage Salamence.
👁️ Psychic type
Damage-wise, Mega Latias sits near Espeon, which is decent. But once again, its stellar staying power to boost Psychic-type damage, especially against Fighting-type Raid Bosses, is hugely appreciated.
🥊 Fighting type
While Mega Latios performs as one of the best Fighting types with Aura Sphere, Mega Latias is a bit behind. Its performance is around the same as Focus Blast Mega Alakazam.
⭐ Perks
A fantastic Pokémon to offer the Mega Boost in Dragon and Psychic types, combining impressive offense to boot.
A decent “Fighting type” as well but largely outclassed by Mega Latios in the same role.
PvP Analysis
Mega Evolutions generally can't be used in the GO Battle League, but for the Mega Master League (as and when available), Mega Latias is pretty good. 😁
Outrage and Mist Ball both give it incredible closing power and wins galore! 🥳
