PvE Analysis
Recommended moves
- Fighting Attacker:
Low Kick
Flying Press - Flying Attacker:
Low Kick
Aerial Ace
The Fighting/Flying Hawlucha has an interesting typing and access to one of the strongest Fighting-type Charged Attacks in Pokémon GO: Flying Press. However, its low ATK puts it quite behind the top attackers in the Fighting meta, although its powerful Charged Attack keeps it viable. There is a silver lining to this popular Regional Pokémon: Mega Hawlucha. Boasting a high ATK and Flying Press, Mega Hawlucha overtakes Lucario in DPS, trailing a little behind Keldeo Resolute in performance. So keep your high IV Hawlucha handy!
⚔️ Raids
Hawlucha’s damage output is decent. While it's nowhere close to that of Mega Evolutions, it deals more damage than the classic Dynamic Punch Machamp and even Marshadow.
🛡️ Gyms
Hawlucha isn't too bulky but its Flying subtyping gives it a useful resistance to the usual Fighting-type attackers. The resistance to Ground is also appreciated. Overall, its Regional status, access to Flying Press, and resistances make Hawlucha a novelty for Gyms.

🔵 Great League
Hawlucha is quite effective against Fighting, Bug, and Ground types. However, it is quite fragile and ends up losing any matchups due to this (including Shadow Annihilape). It also falls hard to Fairy-type opponents, although it can beat Florges with Poison Jab.
🟡 Ultra League
The increased variety of opponents and low bulk makes the Ultra League very difficult for Hawlucha. Shadow Feraligatr is an impressive win, but it otherwise can't even beat regular Annihilape here (something it at least managed in the Great League).
🟣 Master League
Hawlucha is too weak for the Master League.
