Counter
Superpower
Falinks gets a welcome boost to its viability in Pokémon GO through Mega Falinks, equipped with an impressive ATK stat of 267 and decent bulk. It is however held back from higher relevancy because of its moveset. By not having access to any of the top Pokémon GO Fighting-type Charged Moves even in the Main Series Games, there's only so much Mega Falinks can do during its debut.
But is it a suboptimal choice?
🥊 Fighting type
Despite having an ATK higher than the Legendary Terrakion, Mega Falinks' damage output is lower than even Conkeldurr and is actually very close to Shadow Annihilape. This makes it viable for sure, but when you see how strong the leading Fighting Pokémon in the meta are (especially other Mega Evolutions like Mega Lucario Z, Mega Lucario, and Mega Blaziken), you would find it questionable to use Mega Falinks in combat.
In fact, even Mega Gallade outperforms Mega Falinks. So, if you were looking to run Mega Falinks for the Mega Boost, you have other options that aren't even the best in the Fighting meta.
⭐ Perks
To be fair, the only real perk here is getting a reason to use Falinks in ⚔️ Raids, being a tremendously popular Pokémon.
That said, Falinks' signature move No Retreat could be a game-changer if its stats turn out well. Mega Falinks has the offensive potential to make it work, so get at least one of this Pokémon for yourself, and assuming No Retreat is dealt with properly, you can have a top-tier Mega Evolution in one of the best types for ⚔️ Raids!
