PvE Analysis
Recommended moves
- Psychic Attacker:
Confusion
Future Sight
With only a modest Attack stat (152), the legendary Cresselia is not the PvE Pokémon you're looking for. It's very bulky but using it in raids is only a waste of time. 👎
⚔️ Raids
Cresselia competes in the Psychic-type department, ruled by the likes of Mewtwo, Hoopa Unbound, Alakazam, Lunala, and Espeon, even when Mega Evolutions and Shadow Pokémon are out of the equation. 😕
🛡️ Gyms
Legendaries cannot be put in Pokémon GO gyms.

Moonblast
Cresselia is a fantastic PvP Pokémon for the Great and Ultra League. It is extremely bulky and can use its Charged Moves often with Psycho Cut. Grass Knot is a legacy move but it's worth an Elite Charged TM as it turns Cresselia into a functional ‘Grass type’ with its ability to beat Water types consistently. 😎
Moonblast is a great addition since it checks Dragon, Dark, and Fighting types. But, the biggest bane of Cresselia’s PvP role is Steel types, who wall all of Cresselia's moves. Overall, a legitimate PvP Pokémon that deserves its massive popularity in the GO Battle League. 👏
🔵 Great League
Cresselia claims a good number of victims in the Great League, slaying all prominent Water types except Feraligatr in the (1-1) shield, regular and Shadow Annihilape, Primeape, Toxapex, Grumpig. It struggles in the (2-2) situation but is best in (0-0), where it also beats Feraligatr. This makes Cresselia a superb closer in battle. 🙂
🟡 Ultra League
Once again, the (2-2) shield situation is challenging for Cresselia, but it's a beast in (0-0), defeating the likes of Dragon Breath Giratina Altered, Ampharos, Gliscor, premier Water types except Jellicent, Cobalion, Virizion, Dragons such as Zygarde Complete and Shadow Dragonite, Clefable, Annihilape, and Primeape. 🤩
Such an incredible list of wins and its tankiness establishes Cresselia as one of the best Ultra League Pokémon. 🏅
🟣 Master League
Cresselia is actually deadly as an opener, beating Zacian (Hero), Palkia Origin and regular, White Kyurem, Kyogre, Primarina, Togekiss, Enamorus Incarnate, Giratina Altered, Rhyperior, and Dragonite. While this looks great, it's very disappointing in the other shield conditions, making it an awkward pick. 🫣
💥 The best moves for Cresselia in PvP are Psycho Cut, Moonblast, and Grass Knot.
