PvE Analysis
Shadow Dewpider is not a PvE Pokémon by any means, so best to keep it away from Raids and Gyms.
PvP Analysis
🧸 Little Cup
Unfortunately, the loss of bulk from the Shadow nerf makes Dewpider give up its main strength, and it is a downgrade compared to the regular version. Shadow Dewpider loses to Bulbasaur, Onix, Vullaby, Vulpix, and Wigglytuff, all of which the regular beats. The only additional wins are Chinchou and Mandibuzz.
So while in general, Shadow Dewpider is pretty strong, the non-Shadow variant outclasses it completely.
