PvE Analysis
Recommended moves
- Ground Attacker:
Mud-Slap
Earthquake
Mudsdale has reasonably good stats that establish it as a decent Ground-type attacker. Unfortunately, there's too much competition, with many non-Mega and non-Shadow Pokémon outperforming this horse in terms of power. 📉
⚔️ Raids
If you're lacking better Ground-type options, you can certainly take Mudsdale for a ride in 1- and 3-Star Raids. 🐎 While you're at it, focus on catching and powering up other Ground Pokémon like Groudon, Garchomp, Excadrill, Landorus (Therian Forme), Rhyperior, and more! 🙄
🛡️ Gyms
With a solid HP of 225 and a passable DEF of 174, Mudsdale can masquerade as an okay Gym defender. 🙃
💎 Mudsdale’s best moveset for PvE is Mud-Slap and Earthquake.

🔵 Great League
Aside from its Defense stat going for a toss under Great League restrictions, Mudsdale suffers from a clunky moveset it can't use smoothly. The Mud-Slap and Body Slam spam can win a few matchups, but it lacks the firepower to earn consistent success. Its only high-damage option is Earthquake, a costly Charged Move that Mudsdale rarely pulls off due to its low DEF. 🥲
If you want a more reliable Ground-type Pokémon, consider using Diggersby or Claydol. ✅
🟡 Ultra League
Theoretically, Mudsdale should perform better in the Ultra League, but the power creep here hurts its chances. There are too many strong opponents and better Ground-types available, which pushes Mudsdale out of the meta. That said, it does perform well against Steel and Poison-types running rampant in this league. 👀
🟣 Master League
Even with a max CP over 3400, Mudsdale's low DEF and lack of coverage severely limit its Master League potential. 😭
💎 The best moveset for Mudsdale in PvP is Mud-Slap, Body Slam, and Earthquake.
