Recommended moves
- Water Attacker:
Water Gun
Weather Ball - Flying Attacker:
Wing Attack
Hurricane
In the Main Series Games, Pelipper has always enjoyed relevance in the competitive scene due to its Drizzle Ability bringing Rain on the battlefield right after switching in. With no weather-based combat mechanics in Pokémon GO and mediocre stats, Pelipper is unfortunately irrelevant in both Raids and Gyms.

🔵 Great League
Pelipper is built well for the Great League as far as moveset goes. High energy gains with a combination of a shield-baiting and nuke level move, this Pokémon is formidable in these battles.
Aside from expected wins against Fire, Fighting, and Grass types, Pelipper takes down several prominent Water Pokémon (the most common threat in the Great League), including big shots such as Azumarill, Seaking, Quagsire, Feraligatr, and Kingdra. In addition, it also overpowers Guzzlord, Tinkaton, Wigglytuff, Sableye, and has an even matchup against Altaria. A smart Pelipper switch-in can disrupt your opponent’s entire team and strategy, making this Pokémon pretty valuable for the GO Battle League!
Maxing out at only 2404 CP, Pelipper falls short of viability in the Ultra League and is very weak for the Master League.

Catch rate formula
Pokémon GO catch rate formula can be expressed as follows:
CATCH_MULTIPLIERS = ball * curve * berry * throwType * (type1Medal + type2Medal / 2)CATCH_RATE = 1 - Math.pow(1 - baseCatchRate / (2 * cpm), CATCH_MULTIPLIERS)
There are different multipliers that come into play when calculating catch rate.
