The following chart shows Magnezone's DPS and TDO for every fast and charge attack combination. This chart is useful for comparing the relative strength of Magnezone's movesets. You can change the weather and the opposing Pokémon to see how it affects the rankings.

Legacy Elite Fast and Charge Attacks can only be obtained during special events, or by using an Elite Fast TM or an Elite Charge TM. Legacy moves are marked with an asterisk (*). The table above provides information on different moves Magnezone has in Pokémon GO, along with their corresponding DPS (Damage per Second) and TDO (Total Damage Output).

      PvE AnalysisPvE Analysis

      Recommended moves

⚔️ Raids – Now that it's fully evolved through the use of a Magnetic Lure, Magnezone is a spectacular raid attacker, as either an Electric or Steel attacker. For Electric, the best moveset is Spark and Wild Charge, while for Steel you should be using Metal Sound and Flash Cannon. Neither of these movesets will set you back an Elite TM either, which is always a plus.

🛡️ Gyms – With a little extra bulk, Magnezone is no slouch in defending gyms, though the common Fighting type attackers will always be a problem. When paired with counters against Fighting and especially Ground, Magnezone can force attacking players to carefully consider their team going into a gym battle.

      PvP AnalysisPvP Analysis

      Recommended moves

🔵 Great League - At this level, Magnezone isn't a common choice for PVP teams. This is partly due to its best Electric move being Wild Charge which will quickly take away what defenses it has. Still, it can pick up wins against more meta-relevant choices like Azumarill and Shadow Feraligatr. The optimal moveset would be Volt Switch, Wild Charge, and Mirror Shot.

🟡 Ultra League - What little advantages Magnezone had in Great League now dwindle into obscurity. Its best moveset remains unchanged, but it's far from being considered a core team member.

🟣 Master League - A slight resurgence for the master of magnetism, Magnezone could be used to upset some players holding onto their Legendary Pokémon such as Lugia, Yveltal, and even the mighty Mewtwo. Keeping with the same moveset of Volt Switch, Wild Charge, and Mirror Shot, it still suffers from the self-debuffs.
