Shadow Alolan Marowak PvE Analysis

Recommended moves

Shadow Alolan Marowak is completely held back from PvE relevance by a set of extremely low stats, with its ATK not even touching 150. Even its bulk is not high enough to make it even a decent Gym defender. So sadly, Shadow Alolan Marowak remains completely irrelevant for Raids and Gyms.

Shadow Alolan Marowak PvP Analysis

Recommended moves

🔵 Great League

Fire and Ghost are solid offensive types, and adding the strong resistances to Bug, Fighting, and Normal, and you can see why Shadow Alolan Marowak is a great addition to the Great League meta, especially with its high bulk.

That's not all as Shadow Alolan Marowak also has a great moveset, letting it punish PvP threats like Bug, Fighting/Ghost types like Annihilape and Primeape, Ice, Fairy, and Steel types. It struggles against Water types (particularly Ground/Water types) and Shadow Ball wielding Normal Pokémon like Noctowl and Lickilicky.

Compared to regular Alolan Marowak, the Shadow is a sidegrade, beating the likes of Gourgeist Super, Bastiodon, Florges, Talonflame, Galarian Stunfisk, and Walrein. However, the loss of bulk makes it lose to some Pokémon it otherwise defeats in its regular form, including Empoleon, Shadow Drapion, Malamar, Morpeko, and Shadow Talonflame.

As such, Shadow Alolan Marowak is overall a bit tougher to face in terms of damage output, but the regular variant is more unpredictable. So if you want to take down bulky targets more easily, Shadow Alolan Marowak is the way to go!

With a max CP of only 2075, Shadow Alolan Marowak is severely lacking in power and viability for the Ultra and Master League.
