    ⚔️ Raids

Shadow Trevenant is a Ghost and Grass type, and the evolved form of Phantump. To just get it out of the way, Shadow Trevenant isn’t a very good grass-type raid attacker at all. It lacks the move pool to make it one. It is actually solid as a Ghost type Raid attacker, though. Shadow Trevenant, as a ghost-type raid attacker, is strong against ghost and psychic types.

    Shadow Trevenant PvP Analysis

    Recommended moves

    • Great League:GhostShadow ClawGhostShadow BallDarkFoul Play
    • Ultra League:GhostShadow ClawGhostShadow BallGrassSeed Bomb

    🔵 Great League

Trevenant is a solid spice pick in the Great League. It used to be one of the best. It has Shadow Claw, one of the best fast attacks in PvP in general. As for charged attacks, it has Seed Bomb for spam and Shadow Ball for some high damage. An increase in the energy requirement for Seed Bomb pushed it off the main meta, which has now been taken over by Pokémon with more bulk.

Nevertheless, Shadow Trevenant is a direct upgrade to Trevenant, and dare I say a pretty decent spice pick as well. Shadow Claw now becomes devastating against certain opponents, and Seed Bomb’s damage better aligns with its damage output!

    🟡 Ultra League

Trevenant is already a decent pick in the Ultra League. But unlike in the Great League, the shadow bonus actually makes Trevenant marginally worse. This is because Trevenant benefits greatly from the increased bulk in the Ultra League, so a decrease in defense just diminishes Trevenant’s overall survivability.

    🟣 Master League

Trevenant is too weak to compete in the legendary-dominated Master League.
