Sludge Bomb
With a strong ATQ stat of 265, Mega Victreebel makes an impact in both the Grass and Poison typings, giving you a couple of great reasons to power up a Victreebel.
However, where should you focus more? And how high up is it in the DPS figures?
🍃 Grass type
While Mega Victreebel beats its fellow Grass/Poison-type Mega Venusaur in offensive power, the latter has the classic Frenzy Plant to its credit. Moreover, Mega Venusaur is way bulkier, which makes it an asset in large Raid lobbies.
Mega Victreebel functions very similar to Frenzy Plant Rillaboom, although frailer in this role. As such, with access to harder hitting and bulkier Grass starters, you technically don't get too much value from Mega Victreebel in this meta. It's good, no doubt, but brings nothing special to the Grass department.
☣️ Poison type
On the other hand, Mega Victreebel is one of the most dominant Poison types in the meta! Only Mega Beedrill, Eternatus, and Naganadel overtake it in DPS, and even then Mega Victreebel has its perks.
Eternatus is impossibly expensive for most players and it's quite challenging to max out a Naganadel. Mega Beedrill and Mega Victreebel both enjoy the same useful resistances that Poison-type attackers hit (Grass and Fairy), so the Bee is definitely better overall. The one notable edge Mega Victreebel gets is that Acid has a lower cooldown than Poison Jab, so in intense battles, this Pokémon (also bulkier than Mega Beedrill), stands a good chance to fire off a Sludge Bomb (something Mega Beedrill may miss out on).
⭐ Perks
A leading Poison-type attacker, Mega Victreebel is a superb addition to teams combating Grass and Fairy Raid Bosses. It's easy to power up and quite accessible (not even requiring Elite TMs), so don't hesitate to invest in a high IV Victreebel!
