Legacy Elite Fast and Charge Attacks can only be obtained during special events, or by using an Elite Fast TM or an Elite Charge TM. Legacy moves are marked with an asterisk (*). The table above provides information on different moves Grotle has in Pokémon GO, along with their corresponding DPS (Damage per Second) and TDO (Total Damage Output).

With extremely mediocre stats, this middle stage evolution neither does enough damage in ⚔️ Raids nor is able to take hits in the 🛡️ Gym defense role. You just need to feed it Candy and evolve it.

      🔵 Great League

The problem with Grotle is that it does exactly what's expected out of it, and that's beating most Water, Ground, and Rock types. There's technically nothing creative about this Pokémon and your opponent can easily strategize around Grotle, especially when battling in high Ranks of the GBL. Moreover, superior options like Venusaur, Meganium, and Serperior (all fully evolved Grass starters) exist, making Grotle a forgettable name when crafting Great League teams.

A max CP of only 2137 makes Grotle inadequate for the Ultra League and, obviously, the Master League.
