Overview

A Rainy Lure Module is a PokéStop item that attracts Water-, Bug-, and Electric-type Pokémon for 30 minutes and fulfills the rainy condition required to evolve Sliggoo into Goodra. It attracts more Pokémon than a standard Lure Module, drawing roughly half of its spawns from a dedicated rainy-weather pool—such as Psyduck, Spinarak, Chinchou, Surskit, Electrike, Tympole, Joltik, Tynamo, Stunfisk, and Froakie—and the rest from general wild spawns.

Because in-game rainy weather also satisfies Sliggoo's evolution requirement without an item, the Rainy Lure Module is best used when you want to evolve Sliggoo on a dry day or share extra encounters with nearby Trainers.

How to get it

  • Purchase individual Rainy Lure Modules in the shop for 180 PokéCoins, or look for rotating event bundles that include them.

  • Complete eligible Field, Timed, or Special Research, progress through event reward tracks such as a GO Pass, or place well in PokéStop Showcases when this module is in the reward pool.

How to use it

  1. Open a PokéStop, tap its empty lure slot, and select the Rainy Lure Module. Only one lure can occupy a PokéStop at a time, and it cannot be replaced until it expires.

  2. Stay close to the PokéStop to use its encounters and, for special lures, its evolution effect.

Worth knowing

Sliggoo can also evolve when the game reports rainy weather. If that condition is already active, you can save the lure.

A lure normally lasts 30 minutes. Check an event’s exact bonus before assuming this particular module gets an extended timer.

Evolutions near this lure

You can evolve Sliggoo near your own Rainy Lure Module or another Trainer's active lure. Stand within interaction range of the PokéStop and check that the evolution button is active before confirming. Note that this requirement applies to standard Kalos Sliggoo; Hisuian Sliggoo only requires 100 Goomy Candy to evolve into Hisuian Goodra without needing rain or a lure, and Eevee does not use a Rainy Lure Module to evolve into Vaporeon. Costs below are the standard, undiscounted Candy costs.

Placing and sharing a lure

At Level 6 or higher, open a PokéStop, tap its empty lure slot, and select the Rainy Lure Module. Once installed, the module displays your Trainer name, shares its spawns and evolution condition with everyone nearby, and normally lasts 30 minutes. An active lure cannot be overwritten or removed early. While standing within interaction range of the PokéStop, open Sliggoo's summary screen and verify that the evolution requirement is marked complete before spending your Candy.

Rainy weather or a Rainy Lure?

The weather shown inside Pokémon GO determines whether natural rain satisfies Sliggoo’s requirement. Real rain outside may not yet match the game’s weather display. If the game already recognizes rainy conditions and the evolution button is available, you do not need to spend a lure.

A Rainy Lure provides the evolution condition locally without changing the area’s actual in-game weather. It does not grant the weather damage, catch-level, or Stardust bonuses associated with rain. Choose it when you need the evolution on a dry in-game day or want its additional encounters.

Starting from Goomy, the normal path costs 25 Goomy Candy to reach Sliggoo and another 100 to reach Goodra. Only the final step needs rain or the lure. Prepare several Sliggoo first if you want to evolve them under one module; the module is not consumed separately for each evolution.
