The following chart shows Dewgong's DPS and TDO for every fast and charge attack combination. This chart is useful for comparing the relative strength of Dewgong's movesets. You can change the weather and the opposing Pokémon to see how it affects the rankings.

Legacy Elite Fast and Charge Attacks can only be obtained during special events, or by using an Elite Fast TM or an Elite Charge TM. Legacy moves are marked with an asterisk (*). The table above provides information on different moves Dewgong has in Pokémon GO, along with their corresponding DPS (Damage per Second) and TDO (Total Damage Output).

      Dewgong in the meta

      Dewgong in the meta

      PvE AnalysisPvE Analysis

      Recommended moves

An ATK stat of only 139 ensures that Dewgong finds no use in the Raids meta, with its offenses too low even for usage in Tier 1 Raids.

Even though it's bulky as such, the DEF and HP stats are not high enough to help it find success in Gym defense.

When it comes to PvE, Dewgong is strictly a Pokédex addition alone and nothing more.

      PvP AnalysisPvP Analysis

      Recommended moves

      🔵 Great League

While Dewgong’s top Great League performance comes via two Legacy moves (Ice Shard and Icy Wind), rest assured it is worth using Elite TMs as this Pokémon is one of the strongest in this format.

Bulky, the ability to nerf the opponent’s ATK, and an excellent coverage move in Drill Run that can deal with two of its weaknesses (in addition to Ice taking out Grass), Dewgong also gains impressive wins such as Corviknight, Lickilicky, Quagsire, Wigglytuff, and a large number of Water types. With two more Ice Shard turns, it can also take down Shadow Sableye.

The best thing about Dewgong is that it performs more or less the same in all shield scenarios, and as such, it's flexible enough to be run in any role and thus, easy to fit into your teams.

With a max CP of only 2245, Dewgong disappoints in the Ultra League and is completely unviable for the Master League.
