Centiskorch in the meta
PvE Analysis
Centiskorch has an okayish ATQ stat that does make it viable in low tier Raids, as a Bug type.
On the other hand, its Fire-type performance is pretty bad.
⚔️ Raids
Centiskorch’s damage output is similar to regular Scizor and Escavalier in Raids. But both these Pokémon have the Steel subtyping which gives them a lot of handy resistances, something Centiskorch does not have as much. Still, you can use Centiskorch against tier 1 Grass, Dark, and Psychic Raid Bosses.
🛡️ Gyms
The double weakness to Rock and the low DEF stat make Centiskorch an underwhelming Gym defender.
PvP Analysis
🔵 Great League
Centiskorch's high ATK means that its DEF is lowered due to the Great League's CP limitations, making this Pokémon quite frail in battle. It enjoys success against Bug Pokémon, but against Dark and Ice, it is shaky… being unable to beat Galarian Moltres, Sableye (regular and Shadow), and Shadow Sealeo.
🟡 Ultra League
Centiskorch's stats are more suited for the Ultra League, and with its diverse moves, it does put up a nice showing in this format.
Unlike the Great League, Centiskorch is consistent against Bug (except Forretress), Grass, and Ice type targets here. It is actually quite reliable in this role. While Centiskorch does suffer against Water and Ghost types (except Trevenant), that can be accounted for by your other teammates.
Overall, it is an interesting pick that can trouble the opposition, but keep in mind that there are better Bug and Fire type options available.
🟣 Master League
The Master League is way too overbearing for Centiskorch, as it simply gets squashed by the several powerhouses in this format.
