Shadow Litwick PvE Analysis

Shadow Litwick does have higher stats than a typical base Pokémon of a three-stage evolution line, but even then, the Shadow boost just isn't enough to make it usable in Raids. With a lowered DEF on an already flimsy Pokémon, this isn't suitable for Gyms either.

Shadow Litwick PvP Analysis

Recommended moves

🧸 Little Cup

Ghost and Fire are both excellent offensive types with defensive perks, and Shadow Litwick packs amazing moves in both typings, taking advantage of how hard Astonish hits. Not to mention, both its moves have assured effects, with Mystical Fire dropping the opponent's ATK and just at five more energy, Flame Charge gives a guaranteed ATK boost.

All these help Shadow Litwick beat Skorupi, Chansey, Wigglytuff, Toxicroak, and various Pokémon who take super-effective damage from the spooky little candle. With a single Mystical Fire or Flame Charge prior or shielded, it even eliminates Swampert! Note that unlike regular Litwick, the Shadow variant takes out Vullaby and Shadow Vulpix.

With a max CP only 1138, Shadow Litwick is not viable for any other PvP League.
