⚔️ Raids
Primarina is the final stage of one of the Alolan starters. As a Water and Fairy-type, Primarina is a fantastic raid attacker, fitting well into both roles.
As a Water-type raid attacker, Primarina makes use of Waterfall and Hydro Cannon and is strong against Ground, Rock, and Fire-types.
On the other hand, as a Fairy-type raid attacker, Primarina is best with Charm and Moonblast and is strong against Fighting, Dragon, and Dark-types.

🔵 Great League
Other Water-type starters, such as Swampert and Feraligatr, have done exceedingly well in the Great League thanks to their Community Day move, Hydro Cannon. Unfortunately, Primarina has not had the same luck.
This is because, like the other two, Primarina is fairly frail in the Great League. However, unlike them, Primarina only has heavy damage-dealing, low energy-generating Charged Attacks. While Swampert and Feraligatr succeed by being spammy with their Charged Attacks, Primarina cannot replicate that.
A single moveset update might change this. For now, Primarina’s best moveset is Charm or Waterfall for Fast Attacks and Hydro Cannon and Dazzling Gleam for Charged Attacks.
🟡 Ultra League
Primarina performs better in the Ultra League, but it remains more of a spice pick. It has better stats and useful targets, such as Giratina (Altered), Guzzlord, and Greninja. However, it is still slow to reach its Charged Attacks and faces direct competition from the much-preferred Tapu Fini.
🟣 Master League
Contrary to its performance in the other leagues, Primarina is fantastic in the Master League. It is one of the select few non-legendary Pokémon that excel in the Open Master League, where slow, heavy-damage-dealing attacks are more effective.
Primarina is incredibly flexible in this league, thanks to its Water and Fairy typing, which offers many useful matchups. Notably, Primarina can even defeat Zygarde (Complete Forme), the Pokémon with the highest base stat total in the entire game.
