    PvE AnalysisPvE Analysis

    Recommended moves

Cryogonal is a pure Ice-type Pokémon with a max CP of 3163. There are far better options for PvE, even with its best moveset of Frost Breath and Triple Axel.

    ⚔️ Raids

Technically, Cryogonal ranks fairly well as an Ice-type attacker when you don’t have any Mega/Primal/Shadow Pokémon options. However, with accessible Ice-type options like Mamoswine, Glaceon, Weavile, and Avalugg ranking better, we wouldn’t recommend Cryogonal for investment.

    🛡️ Gyms

Surprisingly, Cryogonal is a decent option as a Gym defender! It is fairly bulky, and we rank it as an A Tier Gym defender.

    PvP AnalysisPvP Analysis

    Recommended moves

Cryogonal’s best moveset for PvP is Ice Shard, Triple Axel, and Night Slash. While Cryogonal is a fairly niche Pokémon in PvP, its Ice typing limits its versatility. However, it can secure some surprising wins.

    🔵 Great League

While Cryogonal can take wins over Pokémon like Jumpluff and Clodsire, it suffers major losses to big Great League threats such as Azumarill, Malamar, Feraligatr, and even Dunsparce.

    🟡 Ultra League

In Ultra League, Cryogonal can secure victories against Dragonite, Guzzlord, and Giratina Altered Forme, but its impact is limited, and it won’t make a significant mark.

    🟣 Master League

In Master League, Cryogonal has some interesting wins, defeating Garchomp, Dragonite, Yveltal, and even Zygarde Complete Forme. However, it is heavily outclassed and easily shattered by big names like Dawn Wings Necrozma, Mewtwo, and Dialga. With better Ice-type options that are more versatile and pack a bigger punch, Cryogonal is hard to justify.

Mega and Primal Raid BonusMega Pokémon boost the attack power of all other Pokémon when battling in Raid Battles by 10%. Attacks that share their type with the Mega Pokémon's type(s) receive a 30% boost. However, these bonuses do not stack if there are multiple Mega-Evolved Pokémon battling simultaneously; only the higher boost will be applied.

Mega and Primal Catch BonusWhile a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy is granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it.
