      Beartic in the meta

      Beartic in the meta

      PvE AnalysisPvE Analysis

Beartic has decent ATK and HP but a subpar DEF. More importantly, it has a weak Ice-type moveset for PvE (Powder Snow and Ice Punch) that leaves Beartic unable to compete with other powerhouses in the meta. Still, it's not entirely useless and can do work as a budget pick. 👍

💎 Beartic’s best moveset for PvE is Powder Snow and Ice Punch.

      ⚔️ Raids

If you don’t have stronger Ice-type Pokémon like Mamoswine, Baxcalibur, Galarian Darmanitan, and Weavile, you can try using Beartic, especially against Raid Bosses double weak to Ice-type attacks.

      🛡️ Gyms

Beartic has a very low DEF stat, plus Ice-type Pokémon have a host of weaknesses, leaving them susceptible to many attackers.

      PvE AnalysisPvP Analysis

Beartic can function as a Charm-user or focus on quick energy gains with Powder Snow. It's not too powerful in PvP, but its moves can catch players off-guard. However, it fails terribly against Steel-types. 😬

💎 Beartic's best moveset for PvP is Powder Snow/Charm, Ice Punch, and Liquidation.

      🔵 Great League

It troubles a few meta picks such as Drifblim, Shadow Marowak, Diggersby, and Stunfisk, but loses to everything else otherwise. 🥲

      🟡 Ultra League

Beartic is at its best in the Ultra League, claiming victories against the meta’s strongest Dragons such as Giratina Altered, Shadow Dragonite, and Zygarde Complete, as well as Venusaur, Gliscor, Shadow Golurk, Ampharos, Clefable, and Corviknight. 👀

That's quite an impressive résumé, but it lacks consistent damage output. Fun to use, definitely, but its potential is tainted by the bad defensive profile of Ice-types. 🐻‍❄️

      🟣 Master League

A bad performance in the Master League and the availability of better Ice-type picks make Beartic obsolete in this format. 📉

              Catch probability with multiple throws

In order to help Trainers understand their overall odds when catching Beartic, we enable the functionality to showing the total chance to catch it depending on the number of available throws. We calculate this chance as if you repeated the same throw N-number of times.

              Catch rate formula

Pokémon GO catch rate formula can be expressed as follows:

              • CATCH_MULTIPLIERS = ball * curve * berry * throwType * (type1Medal + type2Medal / 2)
              • CATCH_RATE = 1 - Math.pow(1 - baseCatchRate / (2 * cpm), CATCH_MULTIPLIERS)

There are different multipliers that come into play when calculating catch rate.

Curved throws are more effective than regular throws, stronger types of Poké Ball have a higher catch rate, and using a Razz Berry or a Golden Razz Berry also improves your chances.
