      PvE AnalysisPvE Analysis

      Recommended moves

Venusaur is often argued as the best Kanto starter in the main series games, and it is equally true in Pokémon GO! 🏆 Its reasonably good stats, typing, and excellent moveset give it a degree of viability in the meta.

⚔️ Raids - Frenzy Plant is among the best Charged attacks in Pokémon GO, and Venusaur takes full advantage of it to become a bulky, hard-hitting counter to Ground, Rock, and Water type Raid Bosses 💪🏻 It also boasts a strong Mega Evolution that gives it the attacking prowess it needs to be a leading Grass-type force in the meta.

🛡️ Gyms - Venusaur can take even super-effective hits, making it a solid Gym defender to use 🌿

🔮 Dynamax Venusaur is a mighty Grass-type Pokémon that makes quick work of opponents in Max Battles with Max Overgrow, while also taking the Boss’ powerful hits like a pro 😎

      PvP AnalysisPvP Analysis

      Recommended moves

Venusaur is a strong addition to the PvP meta, being a consistent top pick Season after Season 💯 However, it absolutely needs Frenzy Plant to shine, while Sludge Bomb gives it coverage against fellow Grass types as well as the common Fairy-type targets 🎯

🔵 Great League - Venusaur is a match winner in the Great League, posing danger to a large section of the meta, mainly due to its remarkable moveset 🎳 If you have one with ideal stats, invest resources in it for the GO Battle League! 📈

🟡 Ultra League - Venusaur is still dominant in the Ultra League, grabbing a slew of impressive victories against a majority of the Pokémon usually found in this format 😌 That said, it struggles against the rising presence of Steel and Dragon types 😬

🟣 Master League - Our iconic Grass/Poison-type starter isn't really bad in the Master League. For a meta filled with powerhouses, Venusaur can stack some cool wins, especially against Fairy types. Ultimately, it falters due to inferior stats, but that's understandable 🙂
