PvE Analysis
Recommended moves
- Water Attacker:
Water Gun
Crabhammer
Thanks to access to Crabhammer and a decent ATK, Clawitzer is actually quite viable for PvE. Of course, it doesn't compare to the strong Mega Evolutions and Shadow Pokémon in the Water-type meta, but feel free to use it in battles when you've exhausted better options.
⚔️ Raids
The damage output of Clawitzer is comparable to Hydro Cannon Swampert, making this Pokémon a neat pick for lower tier Raid battles or when you have to rejoin the lobby when all your Pokémon have fainted.
🛡️ Gyms
Clawitzer’s strength lies in its ATK and its bulk is rather mediocre. Don't use it for Gym defense.
PvP Analysis
Recommended moves
- Great League:
Water Gun
Crabhammer
Ice Beam - Ultra League:
Water Gun
Crabhammer
Ice Beam
🔵 Great League
With offense oriented stats, Clawitzer is quite awkward Great League where its bulk gets squeezed down to accommodate its high ATK. Its moveset is also quite slow and with so many viable Water types in PvP, Clawitzer is hardly ever considered for this role.
🟡 Ultra League
Another League, same story for Clawitzer. It suffers from low bulk and a sluggish playstyle, and goes down to anything and everything. By no means does it live up to the expectations from a strong Water Pokémon in PvP.
🟣 Master League
Clawitzer is completely overshadowed by the monstrous roster of the Master League, with most Pokémon making quick work of it. Clawitzer offers zero value in this format.
