With pretty mediocre stats, Venomoth is only a Gen 1 nostalgia Pokédex addition, not a Pokémon meant for usage in Raids and Gyms.

🔵 Great League

Venomoth is fragile and lacks a good moveset to make a mark in the Great League. It also isn't reliable, since even its advantages against Fighting and Dark types go for a toss with opponents having Psychic as a secondary type, like Medicham and Malamar, being common in these battles. There are some really good Bug Pokémon in the Great League, and Venomoth unfortunately doesn't make the cut.

With a max CP of 2354, Venomoth shouldn't be used in the higher PvP Leagues.
