Recommended moves

By getting Foul Play in its toolkit, Darkrai is finally able to edge past both Hydreigon and Tyranitar in DPS numbers. While Darkrai is undoubtedly strong, it is considerably outclassed by its own Shadow and Mega Evolution, plus a host of other Megas. You can definitely use Darkrai in high-tier Raids, but there are just a whole lot of options that do the job better, making this Mythical more suited to Raid lobby rejoins.

Performing considerably better if maxed out, Darkrai is still ranked outside of the top 100 battlers. This is in spite of some amazing coverage moves, like Focus Blast, Shadow Ball, and Sludge Bomb as a legacy move. It can still pick up some notable wins against the likes of Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings Necrozma, as well as the mighty Mewtwo, but may be too situational to be relied on regularly.
