      PvE AnalysisPvE Analysis

Palkia Origin is actually the deadlier Origin Forme, thanks to its whopping 286 ATK, six points ahead of regular Palkia (which was already underrated in the first place!).

That’s not all—Palkia Origin also comes with Dragon Tail, the go-to Quick Attack for Dragon-type Pokémon, as well as the super-strong Spacial Rend 🌌.

A clear upgrade over regular Palkia and a premium Dragon-type attacker, folks! 🤩

As a Water-type attacker, it could have been stellar if only it had a Water-type Quick Attack in its arsenal 🥲.

      🗺️ Adventure Effect (Spacial Rend)

Using 5,000 Stardust and 5 Palkia Candy to disrupt space, you can activate the Spacial Rend Adventure Effect, allowing you to encounter wild spawns at an increased distance!

You’ll be able to encounter Pokémon within an 80-metre radius and extend the timer of this effect by 10 minutes using more Stardust and Palkia Candy.

You can extend the duration of the timer in these 10-minute increments up to 2 hours in one session. By tapping "Use" again, you can make the Adventure Effect last up to 24 hours!

This Adventure Effect is particularly useful during special events like Community Day, Spotlight Hour, and Incense Day, as it helps you encounter many more spawns from your location 🔍.

      ⚔️ Raids

Palkia Origin is the top Dragon-type attacker when not considering Megas or Shadows! 👀 Even when factoring in Megas and Shadows, it remains top-notch. Go ahead and max out a Roar of Time Palkia Origin—it's amazing! ⭐

      🔵 Great League

Too high a CP for the Great League. ❌

      🟡 Ultra League

The CP constraint isn’t kind to Palkia Origin, leaving it for the Master League.

      🟣 Master League

Palkia Origin is one of the biggest threats in the Master League, thanks to its phenomenal stats, Water/Dragon typing, and Spacial Rend 😮.

This signature attack is insane, dealing 95 DMG for just 50 energy! Combine this with Aqua Tail (25 energy) to bait shields, and your choice between Dragon Tail or Dragon Breath for Quick Move pressure 💪.

This makes Palkia Origin a Swiss Army Knife, flexible enough to fit any role and team. This is one Pokémon you can’t go wrong with! 👏 Just be wary of Fairy types, though!

Attacks that share their type with the Mega Pokémon's type(s) receive a 30% boost. However, these bonuses do not stack if there are multiple Mega-Evolved Pokémon battling simultaneously; only the higher boost will be applied.

Mega and Primal Catch BonusWhile a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy is granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it.

                Catch probability with multiple throws

In order to help Trainers understand their overall odds when catching Origin Forme Palkia, we enable the functionality to showing the total chance to catch it depending on the number of available throws. We calculate this chance as if you repeated the same throw N-number of times.

                Catch rate formula

Pokémon GO catch rate formula can be expressed as follows:

                • CATCH_MULTIPLIERS = ball * curve * berry * throwType * (type1Medal + type2Medal / 2)
                • CATCH_RATE = 1 - Math.pow(1 - baseCatchRate / (2 * cpm), CATCH_MULTIPLIERS)

There are different multipliers that come into play when calculating catch rate.

Curved throws are more effective than regular throws, stronger types of Poké Ball have a higher catch rate, and using a Razz Berry or a Golden Razz Berry also improves your chances.
