PvE Analysis
Recommended moves
- Ice Attacker:
Frost Breath
Avalanche
Glalie has pretty bad stats that make it a forgotten Pokémon for both ⚔️ Raids and 🛡️ Gyms in Pokémon GO. For context, Mega Glalie is one of the most disappointing Mega Evolutions, being surpassed by a host of Ice types in the meta. You can imagine how poor Glalie’s performance is.

🔵 Great League
Glalie is pretty solid in the Great League, with a good offensive presence that you expect from Ice types. The only thing holding it back is its mono Ice typing, which gives it no resistance other than Ice itself. As such, it is outclassed by better Ice Pokémon such as Sealeo, Walrein, Alolan Sandslash, and Alolan Ninetales.
🟡 Ultra League
Glalie faces the same peril in the Ultra League as well, where a bunch of Ice types outclass Glalie due to better resistances stemming from their subtyping. I like the Great League however, Glalie prefers a complete Ice moveset here, letting it beat Giratina Altered with ease and even taking out Cresselia, Kommo-o, Cradily, and Corviknight. It could have done more but is somewhat held back with a max CP of only 2380.
🟣 Master League
Glalie is too weak for the Master League.
