⚔️ Raids

It’s snake spelt backwards! That’s about the most interesting thing that can be said about Ekans as a raid attacker. It’s a base form Poison type, and while there are plenty of worse options to use, there are also over a hundred better Pokémon. Roserade and Toxicroak are much more valuable budget options for countering the few notable Fairy and Grass-type raid bosses that call for Poison-type coverage.

🛡️ Gyms

Being only weak to Psychic and Ground types, Poison isn’t a terrible option for defending gyms—just don’t use Ekans. It’s far too frail to have any staying power, and much better defenders exist, such as Clodsire and Alolan Muk.

PvP Analysis

🧸 Little League

Maxing out at 1048 CP, the Little League is the only place where Ekans would be eligible. However, with its limited movepool and lackluster stat spread, it doesn’t even make it to the footnotes of PvP rankings.

Attacks that share their type with the Mega Pokémon's type(s) receive a 30% boost. However, these bonuses do not stack if there are multiple Mega-Evolved Pokémon battling simultaneously; only the higher boost will be applied.

Mega and Primal Catch Bonus –While a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy is granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it.

Catch probability with multiple throws
