The following chart shows Florges's DPS and TDO for every fast and charge attack combination. This chart is useful for comparing the relative strength of Florges's movesets. You can change the weather and the opposing Pokémon to see how it affects the rankings.

Legacy Elite Fast and Charge Attacks can only be obtained during special events, or by using an Elite Fast TM or an Elite Charge TM. Legacy moves are marked with an asterisk (*). The table above provides information on different moves Florges has in Pokémon GO, along with their corresponding DPS (Damage per Second) and TDO (Total Damage Output).

      Florges in the meta

      PvE AnalysisPvE Analysis

      Recommended moves

Despite the ‘grassy’ appearance of the entire Florges evolution line, they are all pure Fairy types. This Pokémon has a decent ATK that makes it usable in Raids but outclassed by numerous peers, including non-Mega and non-Shadow options. Still worth the grind all its five variants and their shinies though! ✨

      ⚔️ Raids

Better use Gardevoir, Primarina, or Sylveon if you aren't eager to run a Fairy-type Mega Evolution.

      🛡️ Gyms

As a Fairy type with passable bulk, Florges may take typical Fighting and Dragon type Gym attackers by surprise and even last a while against those hitting it for super-effective damage. Not the worst Gym defender but not great either.

💎 The best PvE moves for Florges are Fairy Wind and Moonblast.

      PvP AnalysisPvP Analysis

      Recommended moves

Florges was always considered a good pick for PvP due the combination of viable stats, good moveset, and Fairy typing. Popularly running Fairy moves (Fairy Wind and Disarming Voice/Moonblast) and a Grass move (Trailblaze), what held it back was that the types that resisted its Fairy moves (Fire, Poison, and Steel), also resisted its Grass move. This left Florges helpless against a large section of the meta.

With the addition of Chilling Water (a Water-type clone of Icy Wind and Lunge in PvP) to its movepool in the September 2025 Community Day, Florges finally gets the coverage it always needed to hit back at these targets. Even though Trailblaze will still have its uses, Chilling Water is an upgrade due to its coverage and ATK debuffs, and should be paired alongside Moonblast to make Florges potent in PvP.

      🔵 Great League

Chilling Water Florges is a legitimate threat in the Great League, helping this bulky Pokémon beat usual suspects like Dragon, Dark, and Fighting types, but also Bastiodon! Wins against Feraligatr (regular and Shadow), Shadow Drapion, Morpeko, Corviknight, Turtonator, and Togekiss are also appreciated though it runs into serious trouble against Empoleon and Cradily. A neat addition to the Great League! 👍

      🟡 Ultra League

Florges’ trait of grabbing unsuspecting targets as wins continues in the Ultra League, with this pure Fairy type getting victories over Steel types like Steelix, Cobalion, Corviknight, and Registeel, Fire types like Skeledirge, Typhlosion, Talonflame, Turtonator, and Shadow Charizard, and Poison types like Shadow Drapion. A spammy debuffing move every ten turns that perfectly synergizes with STAB Fairy is indispensable for Florges.

Trailblaze is naturally stronger against Water Pokémon but Chilling Water makes it neutrally flexible and helps it work as a safe swap. Use it alongside a check for Water types and a Fairy counter for good overall team synergy. Also, be wary of Sludge Venusaur as it completely walls Florges.

      🟣 Master League

Florges slows down in the Master League but is still a viable pick going by the wins it achieves: Dragons like Black and White Kyurem, Palkia Origin, Zygarde Complete, other core threats like Xerneas, Yveltal, Groudon, Landorus Therian, and even Eternatus. Unlike the lower PvP Leagues, Florges doesn't really throw any surprise wins here but its spammy debuffs do trouble the opponent.

The best part about Chilling Water is that it gives Florges more play into Fire and Steel types. In uneven matchups where you farmed down, say, Palkia Origin with Fairy Wind, you can spam Chilling Water against the likes of Zacian Crowned, Dusk Mane Necrozma, and Ho-Oh to cripple them and put yourself into a nice, potentially winning, situation.

Ultimately, Trailblaze still has its uses, particularly against Water types, but Chilling Water is overall an upgrade. It makes Florges unpredictable via better coverage and repeated debuffs.

💎 The best PvP moves for Florges are Fairy Wind, Chilling Water and Moonblast.

      Pokédex informationMore information

Mega and Primal Raid BonusMega Pokémon boost the attack power of all other Pokémon when battling in Raid Battles by 10%. Attacks that share their type with the Mega Pokémon's type(s) receive a 30% boost. However, these bonuses do not stack if there are multiple Mega-Evolved Pokémon battling simultaneously; only the higher boost will be applied.

Mega and Primal Catch BonusWhile a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy is granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it.
