    PvE AnalysisPvE Analysis

G-Max Lapras is in a strange position as a Gigantamax Pokémon. It has two 0.5-second fast attacks in Water Gun and Psywave, which let it fill up its Max Meter fast. And G-Max Resonance is the only ice-type G-Max Move that will be available unless they make more Gigantamax Pokémon in the future.

However, Lapras is also not an attack-weighted Pokémon. It leans more towards defense and HP. As such, it works solidly as a tank, with a large HP pool that can help heal its allies with Max Spirit. It will be competing with Blissey and Zamazenta for your attention as a defensive tank, though. Especially since the other two have better defensive typings. As such, Lapras is only good for a unique niche where you need a tank that can also dish out reliable ice-type damage.
