    PvE AnalysisPvE Analysis

Gigantamax Snorlax is quite tanky with its massive 330 HP stat and even packs a 0.5s Fast Move with Lick, making it a great Pokémon to couple with your glassy GMax/DMax attackers. Moreover, its move GMax Replenish gives it an offensive presence.

All this sounds fine and dandy but you'll have to consider that GMax Snorlax’s Normal-type move does not deal super-effective damage and even though you can do neutral damage in many cases, you should ideally resort to switching in your attackers and do super-effective damage instead.

GMax Replenish does 350/400/450 DMG for level 1/2/3, but the damage at level 3 can be boosted to level 4 and 550 DMG with the Dynamax Cannon Adventure Effect of Eternatus.

✏️ GMax Snorlax & other Normal types in Max Battles

Normal types offer little to no offensive value in Max Battles unless they are a tank, and that's where GMax Snorlax fits in. Unfortunately, this Gigantamax Pokémon is outclassed in this role by Dynamax Blissey who does the same thing as GMax Snorlax but better, thanks to 50% more HP and also possessing a 0.5s Fast Move in Pound. So, while GMax Snorlax is a great tank, DMax Blissey excels in tanking hits, healing other Pokémon with Max Spirit, and winning you Max Battles. GMax Snorlax is second to it.

    🔒 Is GMax Snorlax future-proof?

GMax Snorlax is already surpassed by DMax Blissey in utility but that doesn't mean that GMax Snorlax is bad by any means. Tanks will remain a crucial aspect of Max Battles, and GMax Snorlax can be used if you lack DMax Blissey while also adding some offense, if needed. But given both at your disposal, you should absolutely use DMax Blissey.
