    PvE AnalysisPvE Analysis

Machamp may no longer be the top Fighting type for Raids, but when it comes to Max Battles, there’s nothing that even comes close to the power of Gigantamax Machamp.

It possesses a good ATK and the powerful GMax Chi Strike move to plummet down targets, especially bulky Normal types like DMax Blissey and GMax Snorlax. It does not have a 0.5s Fast Move to charge up this move as quickly as you would like, but that’s no problem, as your tanks can absorb damage and charge up the Max Meter, and then you can bring in GMax Machamp to wreak havoc.

GMax Chi Strike does 350/400/450 DMG for level 1/2/3, but the damage at level 3 can be boosted to level 4 and 550 DMG with the Dynamax Cannon Adventure Effect of Eternatus.

It's not bulky, so keep that in mind, especially when the Max Boss uses Psychic-type moves.

🥊 GMax Machamp & other Fighting types in Max Battles

GMax Machamp is a sole crusader, as no other Fighting-type Pokémon has a Gigantamax form in the mainline games. Down the line, Dynamax Pheromosa will challenge GMax Machamp to a degree, but ultimately, this Kanto classic remains a tremendously meta-relevant Fighting-type Max attacker.

    🔒 Is GMax Machamp future-proof?

Yes, and there’s no other Fighting-type Gigantamax that exists for now. With Fighting types getting wide coverage (against Dark, Ice, Normal, Rock, and Steel), GMax Machamp is an invaluable part of the Gigantamax meta.
