    PvE AnalysisPvE Analysis

There are two fire-type starter Pokémon to be graced with Gigantamax forms, Gigantamax Charizard and Gigantamax Cinderace. Between them, Gigantamax Cinderace typically outperforms Gigantamax Charizard in terms of raw attack power.

However, there are still reasons to build a Gigantamax Charizard. For one, it does still more damage than most other Dynamax or Gigantamax fire-type Pokémon. Second, Gigantamax Charizard prefers the dragon-type Dragon Breath or the flying-type Wing Attack for its fast attack of choice. Both of these are legacy moves, but they both have more play than Cinderace’s normal type Tackle, and might give Charizard a leg up in terms of damage in certain scenarios.

Not only that, Charizard also has more utility than Cinderace overall. As it has two Mega forms and a Shadow form, giving it play as a fire, flying, and dragon type raid attacker. As such, building a Gigantamax Charizard might be, in some cases, more economical than Cinderace if you have the right legacy moves.
