Best Dynamax Latios Counters in Pokémon GO
How do we rank the best attackers for Max Battles?
In order to calculate the best Max Battle Counters for Dynamax Latios, we calculate how much damage each eligible Pokémon does to Dynamax Latios during the Max Phase. We use Level 3 Max and Gigantamax Move stats for this calculation, and we assume ideal battle conditions – that there is no lag, and that the attacker will fire 3 consecutive Max Attacks. We order the attackers based on their damage output only. This may seem counterintuitive at first, but remember that in Max Battles you start with a tank/defender Pokémon, and you switch in the Attacker when you reach the Max Phase. You don't need to care about attacker survivability, the only thing you need to make sure is that you are dealing as much damage as possible during this phase.
How do we rank the best tanks for Max Battles?
Ranked by the average percentage of HP lost to this boss’s ordinary attacks, including dodging. Lower is better. Faster energy gain breaks ties. Assumes level 50, perfect IVs and no shields.
How do we rank healing per use?
We compare the maximum HP restored to each active Pokémon by one level-3 Max Spirit, assuming level 50 and perfect IVs. PokéChespin’s formula takes 16% of the healer’s effective HP and rounds down. Healing output is the same against every boss; resistance to this boss, then Max Meter generation, break ties. Actual healing is capped by missing HP. This ranking measures healing per use; it does not estimate healing over a full battle.
