⚔️ Raids
Shadow Scyther is a bug and flying-type Pokémon. Despite having an evolution, Shadow Scyther itself is a solid raid attacker. This is because Scyther shares a very similar stat pool with its evolutions, just with a different typing. As such, Shadow Scyther is an excellent bug-type raid attacker with the move combination of Fury Cutter and X-Scissor. As a flying-type raid attacker, though, Shadow Scyther shouldn’t be your first choice. However, if you’re lacking in options, you can still potentially use Shadow Scyther with a move combination of Air Slash and Aerial Ace. As a bug-type raid attacker, Shadow Scyther is strong against grass, psychic, and dark-type Pokémon. Whereas, as a flying-type raid attacker, Shadow Scyther is strong against fighting, bug, and grass-type Pokémon.

Night Slash - Ultra League:
Fury Cutter

Night Slash
Unfortunately, PvP is where Shadow Scyther pales in comparison to its evolution. One of the main reasons for this is Shadow Scyther’s bug and flying typing, which is not the best defensively, as it leaves Scyther weak to multiple popular types in most metas. Not only that, Shadow Scyther is pretty attack weighted, which is something its evolution, Scizor, leans further into to do more damage with an identical moveset.
