PvE Analysis
Recommended moves
- Electric Attacker:
Thunder Shock
Thunderbolt - Flying Attacker:
Air Slash
Aerial Ace
Kilowattrel has a passable ATK stat that gives it low viability, not even being comparable to decent Electric and Flying type attackers in Pokémon GO. It also doesn't help its cause that it's in direct contention with a strong Electric/Flying type, the legendary Zapdos.
⚔️ Raids
Just use Zapdos instead.
🛡️ Gyms
Resisting Ground-type attacks unlike other Electric type theoretically puts Kilowattrel at an advantage but when you look at its underwhelming DEF, its weakest stat, and its subpar HP, it is easy to see why this Pokémon is not suitable for Gym defense.

🔵 Great League
With high ATK and poor bulk, Kilowattrel suffers under the Great League's CP limitations, becoming extremely fragile. It beats Corviknight reliably and is inconsistent against Water types based on shields. For instance, even with one shield available, it can beat Azumarill but without any shields, Azumarill beats it with ease.
Overall, it can take off some HP from Flying and Water types, but even then, it hardly transforms those matchups to wins.
🟡 Ultra League
With more freedom to spread its wings (quite literally), Kilowattrel is better in the Ultra League. It is once again a brilliant Corviknight slayer and its wins are those you would expect from Electric- and Flying-type offense: Virizion, Togekiss, Jellicent, Galarian Moltres, Tentacruel, Primeape, Annihilape, along with Shadow Scizor and Shadow Drapion.
As such, it is often easy for the opponent to strategize around Kilowattrel if they manage to lock it in a non-switchout position.
Just like PvE, you're better off using Zapdos in this format. ⚡🪽
🟣 Master League
With a max CP of only 2762, Kilowattrel is severely underpowered for the Master League.
