Excadrill is an amazing Pokémon, providing an unmatched combination of utility and flexibility, thanks to its superb moveset, high ATK stat, and resistances 😎.
Ground and Steel form a phenomenal combination, and Excadrill is the best harbinger of these two types and absolutely deserves your resources 💯.
⚔️ Raids – Mud-Slap and Scorching Sands punish opponents weak to Ground-type attacks. You might need to dodge a bit due to Excadrill’s low DEF stat, but its high HP makes up for it 💪.
Also, while not as top-notch as a Ground-type Pokémon, Excadrill can pull double duty as a Steel type as well! 🔩.
🛡️ Gyms – Its relatively low DEF stat makes it inefficient as a Gym defender 👎.

Excadrill is an easy-to-fit PvP Pokémon as its whopping 10 resistances to prominent Pokémon types like Dragon, Fairy, Steel, Flying, and Psychic (among others) make it an asset. Not to mention, it hits hard with powerful moves that are great for shield baits… Excadrill is a star! 🤩
🔵 Great League – Excadrill is good enough to be of service in the Great League, and its type combination is the reason behind its success 💪. However, its poor DEF hinders its dominance in this format, as Galarian Stunfisk is better tuned to get wins here.
🟡 Ultra League – The same issues taint Excadrill's performance in the Ultra League, as its high ATK and low DEF make it feel a bit awkward 😕. It’s not necessarily bad, but it just doesn’t unleash its true potential.
🟣 Master League – And here you go! Master League is Excadrill's playground, and this humble Pokémon makes even Legendaries shiver in fear 🥶.
With Mud-Slap buffed to deadly levels and the widespread coverage gained from Drill Run and Rock Slide, Excadrill tears down the likes of Dialga (normal and Origin), Dusk Mane Necrozma, other Steel types, Togekiss, Dragonite, Mewtwo, Zekrom… you name it!
Even in losing matchups, Excadrill signs off by taking out a chunk of HP from the opponent, helping its teammates 🫂.
Overall, while its low DEF is still a bother, Excadrill is one of the best Pokémon to use in the Master League! ✌️
