      PvE AnalysisPvE Analysis

Hatterene might seem unassuming at first. But this Psychic and Fairy-type actually packs quite a punch. She has some fantastic fast attacks, as Psycho Cut, Charm, and Confusion are all good in one way or another. This works quite nicely with the fact that Hatterene has a really high attack compared to most Psychic and Fairy-types, not counting in Shadows, Megas, or Legendaries.

As a Psychic-type, Hatterene's best moves are Psycho Cut and Psychic. As a Fairy-type, Hatterene still prefers Psycho Cut, but you'd want to replace Psychic with Dazzling Gleam. Overall, this makes Hatterene a solid Pokémon against Fighting, Dark, and Dragon-type Pokémon. Hatterene is a solid raid attacker, whose potential can go further if a Shadow form is released.

      PvE AnalysisPvP Analysis

      • Great LeagueHatterene is attack-weighted with a low overall stat product in the Great League. However, she does have potential. Similar attack-weighted Pokémon have succeeded, and Hatterene does have a choice of three solid fast attacks. The real problem holding her back is the fact that all of her currently available charged attacks cost 50 Energy. With a Shadow form and a less costly charged attack, Hatterene can carve a niche for herself.
      • Ultra League – Once again, Hatterene's overall stat product holds her back from really breaking into the Ultra League. You have much better options for both Fairy and Psychic-type coverage in the Ultra League. This is, of course, worsened by Hatterene's lack of variety in charged attacks. Not only that, Hatterene's Psychic typing can work as a detriment where Giratina (Altered) reigns supreme.
      • Master League – This should be where Hatterene excels, as she can reach her full potential in terms of stat product. But the bar for entry in the Legendary-dominated Open Master League is quite high. There are many Legendary Psychic-types at the top of the Master League. And even for Fairy-types, Florges, Zacian, and Xerneas fill that role. As such, it would be difficult for Hatterene to carve a niche for herself in the Master League.

Mega and Primal Raid BonusMega Pokémon boost the attack power of all other Pokémon when battling in Raid Battles by 10%. Attacks that share their type with the Mega Pokémon's type(s) receive a 30% boost. However, these bonuses do not stack if there are multiple Mega-Evolved Pokémon battling simultaneously; only the higher boost will be applied.

Mega and Primal Catch BonusWhile a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy is granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it.

Note on Primal Kyogre, Primal Groudon, and Mega Rayquaza
      • Primal Kyogre boosts Water-, Electric- and Bug-type attacks and Pokémon.
      • Primal Groudon boosts Fire-, Grass- and Ground-type attacks and Pokémon.
      • Mega Rayquaza boosts Flying-, Dragon- and Psychic-type attacks and Pokémon.

                Catch probability with multiple throws

In order to help Trainers understand their overall odds when catching Hatterene, we enable the functionality to showing the total chance to catch it depending on the number of available throws. We calculate this chance as if you repeated the same throw N-number of times.

To activate this functionality, change the number of Number of throws to a value greater than 1. The Number of throws option is available in the configuration options above the chart

                Catch rate formula

Pokémon GO catch rate formula can be expressed as follows:

                • CATCH_MULTIPLIERS = ball * curve * berry * throwType * (type1Medal + type2Medal / 2)
                • CATCH_RATE = 1 - Math.pow(1 - baseCatchRate / (2 * cpm), CATCH_MULTIPLIERS)

There are different multipliers that come into play when calculating catch rate.

Curved throws are more effective than regular throws, stronger types of Poké Ball have a higher catch rate, and using a Razz Berry or a Golden Razz Berry also improves your chances.
