PvE Analysis
Recommended moves
- Steel Attacker:
Metal Claw
Heavy Slam - Rock Attacker:
Metal Claw
Rock Slide
Lairon packs low stats that don't give it enough power to fit in PvE roles.
⚔️ Raids
There is a plethora of better Rock and Steel types to use in Pokémon GO.
🛡️ Gyms
Two double weaknesses (Fighting and Ground) make it a poor Gym defender.
PvP Analysis
Recommended moves
- Great League:
Metal Sound
Rock Tomb
Body Slam - Ultra League:
Metal Sound
Rock Tomb
Rock Slide
Lairon can be used in the Great and Ultra League but it underperforms in both cases. Fast Moves like Counter and Mud-Slap punish this Pokémon, and it does nothing notable other than walling Fairy types. Even then, Bastiodon does that better.
