PvE Analysis
Recommended moves
- Dark Attacker:
Feint Attack
Foul Play - Ghost Attacker:
Shadow Claw
Foul Play
Sableye is not a PvE Pokémon. Its stats aren't high enough to result in workable damage figures for Raids and Gyms, and should be left for PvP only.
🔮 Dynamax
Dynamax Sableye is just a collector's edition. It doesn't have much utility in the Max Battles meta, and while Shadow Claw is a 0.5s move that enables Max Phantasm smoothly, it's overall a pretty disappointing DMax Pokémon compared to other Dark and Ghost Dynamax Pokémon. 😬
💎 The best moves for Sableye in PvE are Shadow Claw and Foul Play.
PvP Analysis
Recommended moves
- Great League:
Shadow Claw
Foul Play
Power Gem
🔵 Great League
Sableye is one of the most dominant Pokémon in the Great League, possessing an excellent moveset, a phenomenal offensive typing that also gives it only a single weakness (a double weakness to Fairy type damage), and great coverage. 👌
While Return was previously preferred on a non-Shadow Sableye, Power Gem is now amazing and recommended for this Pokémon along with Foul Play. This combo, complemented by Shadow Claw, lets it take down a large section of the Great League meta efficiently. You can still run Return as well because the damage output is great for hitting its arch nemesis, Azumarill. To put it into perspective, Sableye is a superb Great League pick that always pays rich dividends in battle. 😁
Sableye’s max CP isn't high enough for the Ultra and Master League.
💎 The best moves for Sableye in PvP are Shadow Claw, Foul Play and Power Gem.
