The Fighting/Dark-type Urshifu (Single Strike Style) is a strong Pokémon viable in both its typings. In fact, it is the stronger Urshifu variant so if you're not sure which one to evolve Kubfu into, this is it! 👊
Note that both Urshifu forms have the same stats but different typing and attackset.
While it's outclassed in both the Fighting and Dark type department, it has a good combo of damage and survivability, making it quite a catch. However, the true flavor of Urshifu is in its Dynamax and Gigantamax forms. 👀
🧬 Evolution - You can evolve Kubfu into Urshifu (Single Strike Style) with 200 Kubfu Candy after you defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles with Kubfu as your buddy. You do not have to defeat the Pokémon with Kubfu.
⚔️ Raids
Definitely worth running as both a Fighting and Dark type attacker, but bear in mind that even when Megas and Shadows are kept aside, a good number of Pokémon outclass it in both its typings. 😐
Moreover, Ghost types compete with Dark types for Raid slots as they're both used against Psychic-type Raid Bosses. So even in that regard, some Ghosts surpass it in damage output but Urshifu Single Strike takes the edge in being bulkier. 👌
🛡️ Gyms
Legendaries can't be put in Gyms.
🔮 Gigantamax/Dynamax
Dynamax Urshifu Single Strike is a top DMax Dark-type Pokémon. It has a high ATK stat, a 0.5s attack in Sucker Punch, and is just barely surpassed by Gigantamax Gengar in damage against Psychic-type Max Raids (by about 7%).
Access to Sucker Punch is its biggest perk and that gives it an edge over future DMax Dark types like Hydreigon, Tyranitar, and more. Additionally, it is decently bulky as well.
As a Fighting-type attacker, Gigantamax Machamp is what you need and Urshifu Single Strike is definitely outclassed.
👉 Gigantamax Urshifu Single Strike is looking excellent with its signature G-Max One Blow (Dark type) complementing its high offensive power and Sucker Punch. When that arrives, this Pokémon is undoubtedly going to be among the best GMax attackers to have! 👌
💎 The best attacks for Urshifu Single Strike in PvE are: Sucker Punch and Payback (Dark) Counter and Dynamic Punch (Fighting)

🔵 Great League
Urshifu Single Strike is an offensively oriented Pokémon so it struggles to perform in the Great League. The loss in DEF hurts it and this Legendary is just unable to break through. Don't waste your time running Urshifu in the Great League. 😒
🟡 Ultra League
While the Ultra League gives Urshifu more breathing room, it still isn't at its best. Also, Pangoro, a fellow Fighting/Dark type, is better in every parameter and more suited for this format.
🟣 Master League
Urshifu Single Strike is a brutal Pokémon in the Master League, taking advantage of its powerful Fighting and Dark STAB attacks to destroy Psychic, Ghost, and Steel types.
This Pokémon’s victims include the likes of Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings Necrozma, Black and White Kyurem, Giratina Origin and Altered, Dialga Origin and regular, Palkia Origin and regular, Mewtwo, Melmetal, Kyogre, Ho-Oh, Excadrill, Rhyperior, and Landorus Therian. 🤯
Urshifu Single Strike is among the most dominant Pokémon in the Master League and is a must-have, but don't forget that it's double weak to Fairy type attacks and in that matchup, it falls like a pack of cards. Otherwise, it's excellent! 👏
💎 The best attacks for Urshifu Single Strike in PvP are Sucker Punch, Dynamic Punch and Payback.
