      Bewear in the meta

      Bewear in the meta

      PvE AnalysisPvE Analysis

The Normal/Fighting-type Bewear is listed as one of the most dangerous species in the Pokémon world, but sadly, that doesn't translate well in Pokémon GO. 😬

It has decent stats, but its moveset isn't good enough to make it stand out in the meta. 🥲

      ⚔️ Raids

As a Normal-type, PvE isn't ideal, and as a Fighting-type, it's severely outclassed by many better Pokémon. Stick to stronger hard-hitters. 👊

      🛡️ Gyms

A Fighting-type Pokémon that's weak to Fighting-type moves. 😐 And while Bewear has good HP, its DEF is quite low. Overall, not a good Gym defender. 😭

💎 Bewear’s best moveset in PvE

      Low Kick and Superpower

      PvE AnalysisPvP Analysis

Bewear has a rather interesting Fighting/Normal typing, which helps it resist the commonly found Ghost-type Pokémon in PvP. So defensively, it does possess a niche that allows it to stall one of the deadliest (and spookiest) Pokémon types. 👻

Offensively, it is clunky to use. Shadow Claw is undoubtedly amazing and threatens Ghost-types that it resists. Stomp is a good move (and gets STAB) to bait shields, but its strongest attack, Superpower, debuffs ATK and DEF, meaning it can't afford to use it when its DEF stat is already low at 141. 🥲

Still, its moveset can come in handy more often than not, so never count out Bewear from PvP. ‼️

Note: Drain Punch, Bewear’s Community Day move, is too weak to justify usage.

      🔵 Great League

Beware of Bewear! ⚠️ While not top-tier, this bear beats Charjabug, Ariados, Dusclops, Shadow and regular Feraligatr, Shadow Drapion, Golisopod, Galarian Corsola, Diggersby, Lapras, Blastoise, and Dunsparce. 👀

Use it—your opponents will be left scrambling quite often! 😉

      🟡 Ultra League

Bewear loses its scary tactics in the Ultra League because of its low bulk against strong opponents. It has the tools, but it just can't keep up with this format's power levels. 😬

      🟣 Master League

Bewear can beat Dialga, Dialga Origin, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Giratina Origin! 😳 So, there's that, but otherwise, it disappoints. Bewear is ultimately not worth it in the Master League. 🙁

Mega and Primal Raid BonusMega Pokémon boost the attack power of all other Pokémon when battling in Raid Battles by 10%. Attacks that share their type with the Mega Pokémon's type(s) receive a 30% boost. However, these bonuses do not stack if there are multiple Mega-Evolved Pokémon battling simultaneously; only the higher boost will be applied.

Mega and Primal Catch BonusWhile a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy is granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it.

Note on Primal Kyogre, Primal Groudon, and Mega Rayquaza
      • Primal Kyogre boosts Water-, Electric- and Bug-type attacks and Pokémon.
      • Primal Groudon boosts Fire-, Grass- and Ground-type attacks and Pokémon.
      • Mega Rayquaza boosts Flying-, Dragon- and Psychic-type attacks and Pokémon.
