Darmanitan in the meta
PvE Analysis
Recommended moves
Darmanitan has an excellent ATK stat of 263, the same as Dragonite. This, along with a great moveset, makes Darmanitan the hardest-hitting non-Mega/non-Shadow/non-Legendary Fire-type Pokémon in the meta. 🔥🔥 A fantastic Pokémon to have in your squad. 💯
💎 Darmanitan’s best moveset for PvE is Fire Fang and Overheat.
⚔️ Raids
Definitely a worthy addition to your team of Fire types to counter Bug, Grass, Steel, and Ice-type Raid Bosses. Remember that dodging is necessary to keep Darmanitan in the battle for a longer time. ‼️
🛡️ Gyms
With a DEF stat of only 114, it is not the best idea to make Darmanitan defend a Gym. 😅
PvP Analysis
Darmanitan enjoys some success thanks to its high ATK, powerful moves, and the fact that Fire is a great offensive type, shutting down the common Steel types in PvP. 🔥
But its DEF is way too low, making it pretty unreliable for grueling battles. Overall, Darmanitan is hot enough to be a spice pick 🌶️ in PvP, but it isn't the best deal.
💎 Darmanitan's best moveset for PvP is Fire Fang, Overheat, and Rock Slide.
🔵 Great League
Aside from Bug, Grass, Ice, and Steel Pokémon going down to Darmanitan's fiery onslaught, it also destroys Mandibuzz, Dachsbun, Wigglytuff, Drifblim, Cresselia, and Clodsire, with Fire Fang itself being enough to get the job done. 😎
But, outside these impressive matchups, it gets beaten due to its worrisome DEF. 🙁
🟡 Ultra League
While some wins continue, the Ultra League is rough on Darmanitan with bigger opponents everywhere. Opt for Fire types like Charizard, Skeledirge, or Talonflame instead. 🙂
🟣 Master League
After a dismal Ultra League, Darmanitan actually manages to make a comeback in the Master League! 👀
While it still has its troubles with bulk, the high offensive power of Darmanitan helps it break through bigshots like Xerneas, Yveltal, Togekiss, Zacian (Hero), Primarina, Ursaluna, Dialga Origin, Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings Necrozma, and perhaps most shocking of them all, Groudon! 😲
Darmanitan is certainly a menace in Pokémon GO, and if you have a high IV version, enjoy watching the PvE and PvP world burn! ❤️🔥
