PvE Analysis
Recommended moves
- Electric Attacker:
Thunder Shock
Wild Charge - Fighting Attacker:
Low Kick
Brick Break *
The Electric/Fighting-type Pawmot has a pretty respectable Attack stat of 232 as well as a good, electrifying attackset! ⚡
While it won't be in contention with the top Electric Pokémon in the meta, it's still a decent attacker that you can add to your teams! 🙂
In the Fighting-type department, the story is more or less the same. Its Community Day addition, Brick Break, does make it better but nowhere close to being a top tier attacker.
Honestly, Pawmot should have received Thunder Shock or Upper Hand as the exclusive attack.
⚔️ Raids
Pawmot can be given a shot in 1-Star Raids but it's not a valuable addition overall. There are just so many Electric and Fighting types to choose from. 👍
🛡️ Gyms
With low bulk, Pawmot doesn't perform too well in gyms. Attackers like Primal Groudon, Mewtwo and Fairy types destroy it effortlessly. 🫠
💥 The best attackset for Pawmot in PvE is: Spark and Wild Charge (Electric) Low Kick and Brick Break (Fighting)
PvP Analysis
Recommended moves
- Great League:
Thunder Shock
Brick Break
Wild Charge - Ultra League:
Thunder Shock
Brick Break
Wild Charge
Pawmot would have preferred Thunder Shock or Upper Hand as its Community Day attack. That would have truly boosted its performance but regardless, Brick Break is a decent improvement. 🙂
The best part is that earlier, Pawmot was dependent on Wild Charge and Close Combat, two self-nerfing attacks. With Brick Break added, it can skip Close Combat. Brick Break is cheap and is also guaranteed to reduce the opponent’s Defense.
Another factor to consider is that Pawmot is Electric/Fighting, making it weak to Fairy and Psychic in addition to the typical Ground weakness. Raichu has the same attackset, more bulk-oriented stats, and only a Ground-type weakness, so you gain more from using it instead. 😮
🔵 Great League
Pawmot can't even reliably beat Water types and it doesn't get too many wins in general. A big disappointment but still an improvement over its old avatar. 🙃
🟡 Ultra League
The going gets tougher for Pawmot as it loses even more often in the Ultra League. The wider diversity of threats in this platform is too much to handle for poor Pawmot though it may help in removing shields.
🟣 Master League
The Master League is the nail on the coffin for Pawmot where it can't muster wins. Avoid using it. ❌
💥 The best attackset for Pawmot in PvP is Spark, Brick Break and Wild Charge.
