Zacian is a Fairy-type legendary, one of the two cover legendaries from Pokémon Sword/Shield. Blessed with a versatile moveset, Zacian has utility in both the PvE and PvP forms of the game.

⚔️ Raids – Although Zacian does not currently have a Fairy-type fast move, it is still the #4 ranked Fairy-type raid attacker in the game, making it a solid investment. While Fairy-types don't have the strongest utility on the PvE side of the game, it is useful against the many Dragon-type legendaries and can form part of your Fairy raid team.

🛡️ GymsZacian is unable to participate in Gym defense.

      PvE AnalysisPvP Analysis

Preferred MovesetQuick Attack, Close Combat / Wild Charge & Play Rough

      • 🔵 Great LeagueZacian's CP is too high to participate in the Great League, even at Research Levels.
      • 🟡 Ultra LeagueZacian's performance is overall poor in the Ultra League. Although it can draw out shields from its opponents with access to the hard-hitting moves Wild Charge and Close Combat, in all even shield scenarios, it has a poor win-loss record. Its bulk is also far worse than Fairy contemporaries such as Clefable and Galarian Weezing, which are much safer investments in the Ultra League.
      • 🟣 Master League – The Master League is where Zacian begins to shine. It has excellent play as a swiss army knife that can hit most of the meta for at least neutral or super effective damage. A Fairy that can hit both Dragon and Steel types for super effective damage is highly valuable and gives Zacian a lot of flexibility in terms of game style. It can be effective particularly as a safe swap, allowing players to gain either shield or switch advantage. Definitely a worthwhile investment for the Master League!

              Catch probability with multiple throws

In order to help Trainers understand their overall odds when catching Zacian (Hero of Many Battles), we enable the functionality to showing the total chance to catch it depending on the number of available throws. We calculate this chance as if you repeated the same throw N-number of times.

To activate this functionality, change the number of Number of throws to a value greater than 1. The Number of throws option is available in the configuration options above the chart

              Catch rate formula

Pokémon GO catch rate formula can be expressed as follows:

              • CATCH_MULTIPLIERS = ball * curve * berry * throwType * (type1Medal + type2Medal / 2)
              • CATCH_RATE = 1 - Math.pow(1 - baseCatchRate / (2 * cpm), CATCH_MULTIPLIERS)

There are different multipliers that come into play when calculating catch rate.

Curved throws are more effective than regular throws, stronger types of Poké Ball have a higher catch rate, and using a Razz Berry or a Golden Razz Berry also improves your chances.
