      PvE AnalysisPvE Analysis

Zacian's often forgotten sibling, Zamazenta, is a pure Fighting-type Pokémon that boasts good stats but is ridiculed by an abyssal moveset.

It learns no Pokémon GO relevant Fighting-type Fast Moves in the mainline games and is left high and dry with Snarl. A tragic predicament for a Legendary. Sigh 😔

⚔️ Raids - You have plenty of non-Mega, non-Shadow options like Lucario, Conkeldurr, and Machamp that do way better than Zamazenta 🥊

      🛡️ Gyms - Not applicable

      PvE AnalysisPvP Analysis

Fighting is an excellent offensive type, but on the flip side, it's just bad defensively since it suffers from weaknesses to Fairy, Flying, and Psychic - three common types you come across in the GO Battle League.

However, unlike PvE, Zamazenta has more meat to its bones in PvP as Snarl’s quick energy gains coupled with cheap Charge attacks often help it pose a massive threat to the meta 👀

🔵 Great League - Not applicable

🟡 Ultra League - Zamazenta performs decently in the Ultra League, masquerading as a pseudo Dark-type Pokémon with its Snarl and Crunch combo. This establishes it as a legitimate threat to the surge of Ghost types in this meta. However, it's not a ‘mon you can count on to fetch you many wins. Bad dog! 🐕

🟣 Master League - Zamazenta finally brings some level of dominance in the Master League where the addition of STAB Close Combat to the formidable duo of Snarl and Crunch makes it unpredictable to face 😈

A flurry of Close Combats can give a tough fight to most of the meta along with the 30% odds to debuff the opponent’s Defense stat with Crunch.

However, these heroics all go down the drain when Zamazenta comes up against Fairy and Flying types, who unfortunately happen to be staples in this meta 🤕

Ultimately, a good boi 🐶 but Zacian is just better 🐺

              Catch probability with multiple throws

In order to help Trainers understand their overall odds when catching Zamazenta (Hero of Many Battles), we enable the functionality to showing the total chance to catch it depending on the number of available throws. We calculate this chance as if you repeated the same throw N-number of times.

To activate this functionality, change the number of Number of throws to a value greater than 1. The Number of throws option is available in the configuration options above the chart

              Catch rate formula

Pokémon GO catch rate formula can be expressed as follows:

              • CATCH_MULTIPLIERS = ball * curve * berry * throwType * (type1Medal + type2Medal / 2)
              • CATCH_RATE = 1 - Math.pow(1 - baseCatchRate / (2 * cpm), CATCH_MULTIPLIERS)

There are different multipliers that come into play when calculating catch rate.

Curved throws are more effective than regular throws, stronger types of Poké Ball have a higher catch rate, and using a Razz Berry or a Golden Razz Berry also improves your chances.
