No entanto, em Pokémon GO, ele não tem nada de resistente. Como atacante de Água puro, enfrenta forte concorrência de atacantes de raid muito mais poderosos. Com um Ataque de 197 e ataques fracos de Água, como Revólver d'Água e Pulso d'Água, é melhor escolher uma das evoluções finais dos iniciais de Água. Na verdade, até as três formas de Basculin superam Octillery!

Comparado às suas piores derrotas, Octillery é completamente aniquilado.
Uma reviravolta total: Mandibuzz, um dos melhores Pokémon da Grande Liga, agora destrói completamente Octillery. Mesmo com o conjunto de ataques Lock On, Polvo-canhão e Tiro de Sujeira, isso não é suficiente para torná-lo um lutador viável.
Com um PC máximo de 2617, Octillery pode ter uma distribuição IV ideal de 5/15/15 para competir na Ultra-liga. Mas isso não é o bastante.
